What we learned today is that hours of staining wood and inhaling fumes gives us really bad headaches! However, the first coat is done on all of the wood that will soon be our platforms, and all of the trim is painted blue! We also reaffirmed that everything takes three times as long as we anticipate that it will!
Thanks to Jade and Doug for stopping by today to check it out. in Jade’s words, “Wow, the pictures don’t do it justice, it is a lot bigger than it looks!” We agree.
Sad to admit that there was no 5K run today, mostly because of the fume headaches we had, however we were able to get to Costco to get all of our healthy, yummy food for the week! Have to remember that no matter how busy things get proper nutrition is a MUST! Our biggest word of advice to stick to a solid nutrition plan is to plan ahead. Bill Philips of EAS used to say, “Failing to plan, is planning to fail”. I have taken those words to heart for many years. The best thing you can do is buy your veggies and fruit and portion them into single block servings so all you have to do is grab and eat or grab and cook. The more food you have pre-cooked, cut and measured the more likely you are to stick to your plan. Check out the picture of our Costco trip..we buy the basics every week, which for us include; cherry tomatoes, green beans, red peppers, eggs, milk, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, spaghetti squash, zucchini, avocados, apples, broccoli, almonds, and then we vary our meat from week to week between salmon, steak, lean ground beef, chicken, and white fish.
