U.S. Marine Corps Captain Brandon “Bull” Barrett, 27, of Marion, IN, assigned to the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based out of Camp Lejeune, NC, was killed on May 5, 2010, while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

He is survived by his parents Cindy and Brett Barrett, his sisters Ashley and Taylor Barrett, his brother Brock Barrett, and his grandmother Carmen Johnson.

Two rounds For Time of:

  • 200 Double-unders
  • 135 pound Overhead squat, 50 reps
  • 50 Pull-ups
  • Run 1 mile

It’s supposed to be another nice day, but make sure you still bring your warm clothes.

Coaches Thoughts:  You know when the main site times posted are 35 to 50 min that it is going to be a tough WOD. With that in mind we thought it would be a great WOD to done with a partner. Unfortunately not everyone got to have a partner so instead they did 1/2 or 3/4 reps of the WOD, but everyone got to do the run! I want to congratulate Brandon who ROCKED the WOD today. He did strength before bull and got a Snatch Balance PR and then got Bull in 37:41, beating everyone from the main site except Kristen Cleaver! Glendon got the award for perseverance! The WOD took just over and hour with the overhead squats giving him some grief. We were all impressed by his drive to finish no matter what! Good work today to everyone!

Back at you Griff…good times this morning. Good thing it was just us, we certainly needed help keeping count…at least I did. 🙂
