I was searching and doing some reading on some of the other Functional Fitness affiliate websites.  I found this write up on the Functional Fitness Watertown website (www.crossfitwatertown.com).  As I read I found that I could completely relate to what this write up was saying.  This article articulates one of just the many reasons why I love and hate Functional Fitness all at the same time.  It says it perfectly, “Not every day is a PR day.”  This holds true not only with each WOD but with life in general.  Everyday isn’t going to be the best day I have ever had, despite how much I would love for it to be I know that is just a bit far fetched.  However I also know that with each bad day there are twice as many good days to be expected, so long as I’m willing to do what it takes for...

Great job today everyone who came out for our session today at the Westy Rec Center, it was a nice change of pace and scenery. WOD: For Time: 6 Stair Climbs AMRAP Push Ups 6 Hill Runs AMRAP Squats 80 yrds Long Jump Burpee  * In a team of two perform each exercise, as one person runs the stairs/hill the other partner does as many push ups/squats until your partner comes back.  Time stops when both people finish long jump burpees together.

Remember there is only one session today at 9 am.  We are going to be meeting at the Westminster Rec Center located on 104th and Sheridan, by the soccer fields on the northwest side of the fitness center.  If you have any questions please let us know. Also we have officially started the process of collecting donations for the Amazing Grace event in which we will be hosting on October 16th.  100% of the proceeds will go to Mammograms in Action, which is a non-profit organization based in California.  This organization raises funds for women who are of low-income, or do not have health insurance and allows them to receive mammograms and the proper tests in order to prevent or detect breast cancer.  When we found out about this event we felt compelledto help out with great cause.  Stated above we will be hosting the workout “Grace,” which is performing 30 Clean and Jerks for time.  If you would like to...
