I started my athletic journey as a competitive soccer player at the age of 4, continuing through college until I found myself at a crossroads after my soccer career ended. Despite the uncertainty, I took on new challenges, from participating in a sprint triathlon to discovering Functional Fitness, a sport that transformed my relationship with my body and self-image. This journey led me to become a coach, a life coach, and breathwork facilitator, ultimately opening my own gym, Surge, in May 2010. Embracing Functional Fitness shifted my focus from appearance to capability, and over the last 13 years, I have became stronger, leaner, faster, and fitter than ever before, even after becoming a mother to two beautiful girls. My mission is to help other women feel comfortable in their skin, regardless of where they are on their journey towards health and fitness.
The past 13 years have been an extraordinary journey, marked by incredible members and friends and countless transformed lives within our walls. It’s essential to understand that Functional Fitness is for everyone—please don’t be intimidated or assume you’re not fit enough to participate. Every workout can be scaled, and if you’re already a great athlete, prepare to be pushed and excel! Lastly, I want to express my gratitude for the amazing community we have built at Surge. Your dedication, support, and friendship have been the cornerstone of our success, and I am excited to see what the future holds for all of us.
